The Box Scene Project is
a nonprofit organization
working to harness the
passion of fans
equal media representation
for the LGBT* community,
people of color,
people with disabilities,
and those that live at the intersection of those identities.
We believe the power and passion of fans can create social change.
For fandom, for equality
because representation matters.
Since our inception, we've demonstrated fan support for equal media representation by successfully lobbying for the release of a deleted scene between TV’s most popular gay teen couple, and raising over $130,000 for charity.
The Box Scene Project has launched our effort to unite multiple fans and fandoms to bring attention to the importance of and help achieve equal representation for LGBT/minority characters, actors, and issues on network TV.
